I think Thor would be a dirty hippie, and Banner's a dyed-in-the-wool old-school democrat, but otherwise I could see it.

The whole superhero conceit is fundamentally very politically conservative, in general; cf. the new batflick and all.

I'm not sold Natasha, since the Russians I know living in the States think Democrats are conservative and Republicans go past conservative to crazycakes, but otherwise I agree with your analysis.

Yeah, you're probably right about Natasha. I feel like she's the most likely of all of them to be a total hard-bitten pragmatist, and be so embittered with the political process that whenever anybody asks her what her political beliefs are she just laughs bitterly, shakes her head, and walks away.

That's my take on her, too. And if she were to care about politics, I kind of doubt U.S.-specific politics would be on the top of her politics-to-care-about list.

In this one cartoon avengers movie Thor was a hippie trying to save the whales!

I think Thor would be a monarchist and Banner is a disillusioned Democrat and I can't even finish this comment properly because your icon is so great.

i agree

Ultimate Thor is a dirty (and hot) hippie, so there's precedent.
