I don't even like the girl or her acting, but the way everyone I've read seems to be painting her as some kind of "siren seducer" that led a grown man astray is making me side-eye like crazy. It's Kristen Stewart. The girl is awkward as hell. And am I the only one who finds it disturbing that he's getting almost no blame for this, despite having the wife and kids?

Also, KS didn't even acknowledge her relationship with Robert Pattinson until now. Which means that she could have ridden out this whole problem by denying it or at least denying cheating on Rob, because she never said she was dating him in the first place. I mean, they could have quietly broken up without anyone being the wiser (aside from whispers and whatnot), yeah, she would have taken some flack for being with a married man, but whatever. Angelina Jolie managed to get past that problem. I'm starting to think conspiracy theories here about why on earth Kristen Stewart would make such an impassioned apology, calling Rob out and everything.

I'm usually not into celebrity gossip at all, and I'm long past the Twilight fandom. There's just something so weird about all this...

Meh. She might still be. Just because she's with a man right now doesn't mean she's not gay/bisexual.

I hadn't heard about this scandal at all though. I thought she was with RPatz. Oh well. It'll all blow over soon.

She might be bisexual, she might even be heavily leaning towards the higher-numbered end of the Kinsey scale, but...

Not gonna lie, I did too. I actually didn't realize how hard I believed it until that apology she made today to Rob. I thought he was bearding for her until the promotion for the movies was over.

Though like biohazardgirl says, she still might be bi.

I'm kind of confused. It seems like everyone on ontd thinks she's bi/lesbian.

Is there a specific reason for this? I know she's not very girly or outgoing, but there's lots of chicks like that.

I think part of the reason people are placing more blame on Kstew is because the public feels like they know her a lot better while most people know jack shit about the director and don't really give a fuck about him. Fans have grown fond of her and have built up her relationship with RPattz to be fairytale like, and when she cheated on him it's like people felt almost betrayed. And of course, the people who are insane RPattz fans take her indiscretion as a personal slight so I'm not surprised that they would bash her. I don't really care about Stewart or Pattinson though tbh

I wasn't aware that she hadn't acknowledged her relationship with Pattinson though. With all the pictures of them together and interviews and what-not, I thought they were open about being together. Even if they weren't, everyone knew they were in a relationship.

Also: I'm kind ashamed of my tin-hattey but when I first heard that Stewart had cheated on him I was like "Oh god they were all right, Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart really did want to bang each other!" oops

I went on a search for pictures of them that proved they were together and honestly most of them are far away or really blurred or angled so you can't really tell if they're kissing or not. I think there's one or two where you can actually see them kissing, but they seem to have been really really discrete about the PDA.

The few magazine articles I read with both of them said stuff like, "Stewart has never spoken about her relationship with Pattinson, but everyone knows they're totally going out." So yeah, everyone knew kind of, but I think they still had some plausible deniability going on.

I'm kind of surprised that ONTD is so into this. It's been a pretty boring scandal, especially coming off of Marriage Impossible 3.

An ONTDer said something along the lines of "it's like Marriage Impossible 3's boring little sister".

lol so true. I think everyone is getting into this only because them settling so quickly gave us an unresolved need for a long, drawn out drama.

How would it help her, though? I'd understand if she wanted to get booted out of Twilight, but it's almost over. Just another three months and that's it. After that she could have had all the scandals she wanted to get away from Bella as a character. The timing seems really weird for a scandal, for her at least.

Oh man, I spent ALL DAY in the ONTD posts. And I really hate cheating and don't think it's funny to break up a family or whatever, but the gifs and the sarcasm and...it was a gr8 day, I cannot lie. I am fascinated by the Twihards' response--I never EVER would have guessed that they'd be maniacally, delusionally defending her like this. In a way it's actually nice that they're defending a female celeb so much...eeeeexcept that they're denying what we now know to be fact, and they're really only doing it because they think they're IRL Bella and Edward. And they're also taking it really, REEEEEALLY personally, and that is alarming. So there are many layers of fuckery up in here. The whole thing is really surreal; I never thought she gave nearly enough of a fuck to actively carry on a secret affair, let alone make such a passionate declaration of love in her statement. O_________o It's not surprising that the media's focusing on her rather than the director guy, since she's way more famous, but he's also older and was her director; he was in a position of authority, kinda. It's definitely a bit squicky. I just don't even know, man.

I'm not surprised the media's focusing on her considering she's the more well known one, but if I was following this more I'd tend to "blame" (though that's not a word I'd like to use) the director. He does have that position of authority and he's also the married one. Idk, though. Cheating really bugs me, so..

A lot of their fans (Case in point, nuttymadam) live vicariously through them. Basically if one of them cheats, they feel cheated on. And if they break up, then they feel they've been dumped.
