So I've been thinking of getting MASS EFFECT 3. However I haven't played the other two--and my biggest reason for wanting to give the third one a try is because I wanna romance that Kaidan guy with a male Shepard. I know that sounds super shallow, sorry. ):

Anyway. Should I just go ahead and play the third one? Or should I go through the other two as well? But if the latter, should I play as a male or will that mean I lose out on a lot of character development for Kaidan that I would've gotten if I romanced him as a female (there's apparently a reunion scene in the second one, which I'm thinking I wouldn't get with Kaidan unless I play as a female)? I know there's mods if you play on the computer, but I'd be getting it for the XBOX360.

So, I have a summary for a fic I would love to read. I don't want to write it, because I don't think I could do it justice, so I'ma just toss it out here and if anyone wants to give it a go -- or point me to similar fics, I would be the happiest person here.

Summary:
Kevin is doing well as the new senior detective in the 12th. He's respected by his captain and his colleagues and has led takedowns big and small over the summer of 2012. He should be happy, but as days become weeks and weeks turn to months, his estrangement from Esposito, Beckett and Castle begin to take its toll.

Deppressed!Kevin. Esposito is still suspended and being a dick. Beckett wants to thank and reassure Kevin, but even though she's finally being open with Castle, she doesn't begin to know how to approach Kevin, who is avoiding the both of them.

Does anyone else miss the Darth Vader troll?

So, What Do We Think of the Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal?

I don't even like the girl or her acting, but the way everyone I've read seems to be painting her as some kind of "siren seducer" that led a grown man astray is making me side-eye like crazy. It's Kristen Stewart. The girl is awkward as hell. And am I the only one who finds it disturbing that he's getting almost no blame for this, despite having the wife and kids?

Also, KS didn't even acknowledge her relationship with Robert Pattinson until now. Which means that she could have ridden out this whole problem by denying it or at least denying cheating on Rob, because she never said she was dating him in the first place. I mean, they could have quietly broken up without anyone being the wiser (aside from whispers and whatnot), yeah, she would have taken some flack for being with a married man, but whatever. Angelina Jolie managed to get past that problem. I'm starting to think conspiracy theories here about why on earth Kristen Stewart would make such an impassioned apology, calling Rob out and everything.

I'm usually not into celebrity gossip at all, and I'm long past the Twilight fandom. There's just something so weird about all this...

So, I work in basically a customer service/sales kind of position. Part of my job is keeping clients satisfied so they will continue to use the company I work for, and will continue to pay us.

A lot of them are...I don't even know how to describe them. A good amount are perfectly nice, seemingly normal, sane people. A lot of the others are obsessed with my sex/dating life for some inexplicable reason. (And no, the business is not anything even *remotely* sex-related; the questions they ask are *completely* inappropriate.) Today I had a woman tell me her thoughts on/participation in bondage and threesomes, and how many guys she's slept with. She asked me those same questions. I changed the subject, but I get asked similar questions on a regular basis. They make me uncomfortable, but I never know how to answer.

I've gone to my bosses about it, who've said to tell them I don't feel comfortable answering those kinds of questions at work, but I'm afraid I might make someone mad, they won't come back, we'll lose money, and it'll be my fault.

The job is pretty much perfect in every other aspect, so on one hand I feel like I have no room to complain and should just deal with it, but it bothers me, and I really wish I could come up with a response that wouldn't also piss people off and lose business.

Anyone have any advice on how to handle it?

This isn't so much about fandom, actually, more about... I don't know, identities that are par for the course in fandom but practically taboo IRL. I mentioned "transgender" once to someone in passing, and she looked at me like I'd grown three heads.

I've never read American comics, but after the recent spate of superhero movies, I've decided that I should give them a try. The problem is, there's just so much that I have absolutely no idea where to start.

I like women.

Dear members of a certain fandom:

STOP SPELLING A PARTICULAR CHARACTER'S NAME WRONG.

I realize that the way his name is spelled is not the popular way to spell it, and I can understand that if you just heard it, you would assume it was spelled the common way. And it's not even like it's a nickname that logically *should* be spelled one way based on the longer version, and the writers insist on spelling it differently in scripts, although I can't remember ever actually having seen it spelled out on the show itself, so people continue to argue about it.

It's not short for anything. There's no debate about it. We've actually SEEN IT WRITTEN ON THE ACTUAL SHOW. Yeah, it's a bit weird and not as "cool" as the common spelling, but I'm assuming the writers chose to spell it that way for a reason. I've only seen it spelled correctly like a handful of times, and for some reason it just bugs me.

I don't even know why it bothers me, it's not even a character I particularly like (I actually kind of dislike him, honestly). What the hell.

Tumblr and fandom question

So, I opened a Tumblr account to participate in a fandom which seems to only have activity there, and subscribed to a comm.

I made a fanart and was insecure on how to post it to the comm, so I asked a question (or I assumed I did, I'm still getting the hang on how things work there) to the mod. No answer. It's OK, I thought, those things happen. A week or so later mod posted something saying that if we wanted to share stuff we just needed to add certain tags to our posts so he/she could reblog it. I inmediately rebloged (I understand that is how you answer things on Tumblr) saying I added the tags to a post for something I really wanted to share. Cue crickets singing, because I got no answer, and the comm has keep posting other people's stuff since then.

At this point I'm sure there must be something I'm not doing right, but I really don't know what it is. I'm wary of trying a third time though, specially after my head has gone in a "I told you not to try" spree, but I also don't know if I should post my fanart in my Deviantart account; to be honest, it's not the greatest thing (quite regular, in fact) and I wouldn't want to burden further DA with crappy fanart (that's why I was using Tumblr in the first place). Also, I'm really socially anxious, and I don't know how well I could handle being ignored again.

Otherworld Thirteen-Kelley Armstrong ~SPOILERS~

Now that the Otherworld is over...it sort of feels bittersweet. The badguy's plot reminded me a little of the first X-men movie, TBH. I guess it was sweet that Savannah and Adam got together, but...eh. The reason for why Hope/the other Lucifer children had the chaos hunger and why Hope's daughter didn't, didn't really make much sense. I'm wondering if this also means that down the line it will be completely diluted out of her decendants? Hmmm

And then the whole Aaron/Cassandra thing turning human...It was a bit over the top for me. They had also been killing people for humdreds of years...was that swept away once they became humans? Will they still go to the vampire afterlife/hell thing when they die?

Mentally picturing specific actors as OCs?

I have an idea for an original story I've been tossing around for awhile now, and when I imagine the two main characters, I can't help but picture them as certain actors. I like both actors well enough, but neither is a particular favorite of mine, so I'm not really sure where this came from. It's never happened before with any other OCs, and I feel oddly guilty for some reason.

Does anyone else do this?

I stopped visiting failblog dot org after the dead mouse and the change to the new layout, and only started visiting again lately after I noticed the option to opt-out and use the old layout instead, and what do I find when I'm starting to like the site again?
