Do you work for a big cell service provider? (Oh, wait you said the job was perfect otherwise. Nevermind.) My SO used to deal with this kind of shit too. It was part of the job to bullshit to keep customers and keep them happy, no matter if you were playing therapist or talking your favorite sexual position. He would have never complained of any discomfort because that'd get you fired.

I'd don't really have any advice aside from: know what kind of company you work for if complaining can get you fired. You are entitled to be comfortable in your work environment until it hinders the company profits in some way.
