Do you miss the times where there was wank exploding nearly every day (mostly thanks to the resident trolls in the comments)?

Or do you prefer this relatively more peaceful era of f!s?

I prefer the peace, but it seems that the decline of trolling exposes how few interesting secrets we get our way.

I think we are just in the eye of the hurricane, but I'm enjoying it. For me, it's a lot less stressful to post my opinion unanon'd.

We did just move to DW not too long ago. I think we will pick up new trolls, or the trolls we left behind may catch-up when they get bored of whatever they're doing on LJ.

I had not considered this! I keep expecting for them not to come because it seemed like more of an opportunistic thing, but you're probably right now that I think about it.

The trolls we have now are either mildly annoying or obviously obnoxious, so they are easy to avoid or ignore. I'm still holding out for some at least amusing trolls or lighthearted gimmick posters.

I like peacetime FS. I think it feels good to find out that other people feel the same ways you do about fandom and sometimes RL. It's like Yay! I'm not a martian!

Before, even when I found like-minded people, I was still tense and expecting to get dogpiled out of nowhere, but now I've had some real heart-to-hearts and it's been very nice.

I'm liking the peace in FS atm too. It's kinda nice to chill out here now.

Although, I think the reason I'm feeling pretty good atm is because I've stopped caring about the wank posts and avoiding crazy big fandoms. If I want drama and wank, I drop by ONTD and have a laugh.
