This is kind of how I felt about writing femslash (at first). I really only fantasize about women so when I was writing slash, it felt distant. When I started writing femslash, I'd get turned on writing it and I was afraid other people would catch on. /stupid issues

But I'd say not to worry about it. You should write what you want to write. If you want to write plotty romance, you should keep doing it and if you want to occasionally write smut, you should do that too.
