Could you just be honest but tactful and tell her that her handling of the subject matter makes you uncomfortable? If she reacts badly to that it's really her problem, not yours.

I've tried being tactful and being completely honest, both ended with drama. I now just focus on beta-ing her fics and ignore the plot. It's not a solution, but it's the only thing I can think of to both keep my sanity and our friendship.

Ouch. That's totally your call, but it really sucks when a friend is being so insensitive to your feelings. You should have the right to tell her that something makes you feel wrong without it compromising your friendship.

I hope she gains the maturity to realize that the two of you can just agree to disagree.
