What did y'all eat tonight?

I made peach pie with double crust, and my husband made gumbo from scratch with chicken, sausage and shrimp. I also made potato salad. :) Om nom nom.

I haven't eaten yet but I'm having burritos with black beans and pico de gallo. (Not quite as delicious-sounding and ambitious as your food.)

We love to cook, and neither of us are teaching right now since the semester is over, so we can afford to be ambitious.

Don't sell your burritos and pico short. I love pico de gallo. It is my third favorite condiment after fish sauce and soy sauce.

I've been loling at the olympics but I was just about to go make this. I'm missing a bunch of the sauce ingredients but I'm gonna improvise.

Zaxby's. I'd never had it before but was craving chicken and wanted an alternative to Homophobes R Us. I thought it was pretty good.

I hear that. I'll never eat at Chik-Fil-A again either. (And honestly, I was never all that impressed with their food anyway. Zaxby's is much better.)

Those are the perks of adulthood: if you decide that today your dinner needs to be a bit more DELICIOUS than the rest of the week, your eat that ice cream LIKE A CHAMP. I've once had popcorn and Coca Cola, with other assorted snacks, while watching a Lord of the Rings marathon. It was fantastic.

I had Nestlé DRUMSTICKs for breakfast once. It was so delicious I did it again the day after! :D

I had two cheeseburgers from mcdonalds and tutti frutti frozen yogurt.

Not the healthiest of choices, but it tasted good and made me very happy.

Sushi--sweet potato roll, plus pork dumplings. :9 Now I'm eating Ben & Jerry's Half Baked ice cream and trying not to polish off this pint in one sitting.

With pan-fried salmon, califlower and meatball soup, extremely hot and spicy cumcumbers, stir-fried eggplant with thin slices of pork, bok choy, and rice.

Did I mention rice? And rice?

Don't forget the rice.



And cherries for dessert. Thank god there were no rice with the cherries.

F***ing rice.

Spinach wrap with fresh tomatoes, hummus, cucumber, lettuce and red wine vinaigrette dressing :)

We're having a beer basted beef roast with whole red-skinned potatoes and some kind of veggie. And fresh raspberries for dessert. Nom.
