I'm getting so fucking tired of Chick-Fil-A supporters' whining about their so-called "persecution" and bitching about the First Amendment. FREE SPEECH GOES BOTH WAYS. No one is trying to say Chick-Fil-A can't have their opinion; they're free to think and say whatever they want. But people that disagree are free to react accordingly. I'm sick of hearing about how boycotting them is "OMG SO MEAN YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!!!!!!" Yet, those same people have no issues boycotting JC Penney or Starbucks or Oreo.

There was plans for a chick-fil-a to be on a campus in MA, and the students protested. It was dropped. Now there's that huge fuss over Menino's letter. Honestly, as someone who grew up in Boston, I have to say...I'm on Menino's side.

And honestly, I find it hilarious that they're crying foul now, but it was totally fine to protest what they called "The ground zero masque" Hypocricy is fine as long as you're christian, apparently. Even more so when the bible has quite a few references to what a family is. You can't cherrypick which values you want, just so you can hide your bigotry behind a veil of religion.

I only just moved to Boston and, gesture though it is, I'm really really glad to know he has my back.

Yeah, Boston isn't perfect, but it's still a really great place :)

What bothers me the most in this situation and many like it is people saying the owner needs to die or saying that the PR guy that died "deserved it."

Either side crosses the line when they wish/celebrate death on someone for an opinion or orientation. However the kind of people that do that are not exclusive to one side.

Arguing on the internet: Serious business.
