X-Men Comics recs? (Part II)
(Anonymous) 2012-07-28 03:34 am (UTC)(link)So I've been a long-time casual reader of The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Daredevil, and some other Marvel comics, but my only exposure to the X-Men for the longest time was when various members were on the Avengers line-up, or when they crossed over with something else (idk, they always felt a bit different and separate from the the rest of the MU I guess).
However, I recently got curious, read the Dark Phoenix Saga, and loved it. And now I really want recs. So, anyone got them for me? I like big events, and have absolutely no compunction about wading into huge messes of continuity — I love trying to figure out confusing continuity and having loads of wtf-ery that I don't understand happening in my comics actually makes me feel like I'm reading part of a bigger, epic story and I love that.
Also, don't bother reccing anything written in the past 6-7 years. The Marvel Universe has been dead to me since they decided that heroes being heroic was boring, and everyone needs to be horrible to each other instead.
