F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner (and sequels).

Drawing Blood by Poppy Z, Brite and also her books about New Orleans chefs, Ricky and G-man.

Both Swordspoint and Drawing Blood have been on my to-buy-list for ages, so with your rec I'll hopefully get off my ass and finally order them! I hadn't heard about those chefs before, so I'll google them right away~

i'd second the ellen kushner books as nicely slashy, especially "the privilege of the sword" (which is a sequel to "swordspoint", although i read it first.) i also might be biased -- because femmeslash! -- but i thought it was actually a bit better than the first book. the library here doesn't have any of her other books, so i'm waiting to get back to school and find the rest of the riverside books.

Seconding Drawing Blood, I LOVE that book (and the tiny sequel that is in one of her anthologies).

Anthing by Poppy Z. Brite anyway.
