i'm a dude and i don't read slash or any of that on purpouse but there's a book called "lovecraft unbound" -- it's a collection of short stories in tribute to lovecraft (obviously) and cosmic horror; there's one that's got a quite a bit of gay subtext to it. i don't remember the title though but i did enjoy the story, it's one of the better ones in that book

Ooo, that sounds great! I do love Lovecraft (wow that sounds strange), so it'd definitely be right up my alley. Thank you so much for taking the time to recommend it, despite the fact that you're not even into slash yourself.

i feel like lovecraft's ideas are better than lovecraft himself -- while he has a number of great stories the guy was obviously from another era -- and not the one he lived in, either, and that shows through in some of his stories. if i remember right, the author of the story i mentioned had that same opinion.
