F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

How old are you?
What series have you always meant to watch/read/play/etc. but have never?

I get pretty depressed sometimes when I think about my relationships. I'll never feel for anyone what I (briefly) feel for fictional characters. And none of this, 'oh you just haven't met the right person yet' stuff--I'm 28 and I've been in several relationships/had sex with probably more people than is healthy. I've just never felt love/attraction for those people on the same level as fictional ones.

It blows.

Dude 28 is not that old and is not the end of the world. Did you ever consider that you haven't felt the same level of love/attraction because you haven't met The One yet? Could happen.

And I don't know, I don't think there is really an unhealthy amount of sex or relationships I think it's more about your mental state and how you handle the sex and relationships.

Sometimes it just takes a long time. I was 27 before I ever had a serious relationship, and even then it took a while before I realised that yes, this was proabably love that I was feeling.

I'm not sure it's possible for us to compare what we feel for real and fictional people, because you can give your emotions to a fictional person without having to worry about any real-life kind of concequences. Does that make sense?

In any case, you may very well meet someone yet, just give it time. It seems to me that it's usually when you stop worrying about it that something happens. That's what it was like for me, anyway. Have you heard the song "I just haven't met you yet"? It made my life seem a little better when I was worried about never having a relationship with anyone.

maybe it's because real-life relationships aren't like fiction.

there isn't "The One" and often those big romantic moments like weddings and the first kiss/first time end up being... not so romantic. because of all the expectations you build up around them.

real life relationships are pretty mundane.
