Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).

Wail with me! What never-finished fics broke your heart?

There's a part of me that's sad that When Our Eyes Meet was never finished.
Then there's the part of me that re-read it recently and realized that it was actually pretty bad.

Seven Days in Paradise by Karen Davis. Alias Smith and Jones fiction. It's a fandom that's pretty damn small anyway, so every work is precious, especially if it's halfway decent. It's been "on hiatus" for YEARS.

Bridlewood Manor from old-times Gundam Wing fandom.

I spent a week of my life doing nothing but read it when I was on break from college a few years ago. Kills me that it was abandoned, and I've no idea what happened to the author. I think she took a break due to depression. I really hope she's okay.

Defining Love in the Squall/Seifer pairing. sigh. Author left for Star Trek, says they will return but I highly doubt I considering how long it's been.

I was reading it as a guilty pleasure (a surprisingly well-written one, at that), and to be honest I don't give a shit how it ends anymore, I just want to know what happened to the author! (Josephine Darcy, I think was the penname)

What happened to him/her?! Did they die?! D:

There was also this awesome AU Thiefshipping fic I was reading that never got finished. Even worse it was a prequel that explained how and why stuff in the first one was in the first place.

'Home' by Lanaea. It was my first ST:XI fanfic and good god I love it so. Extra painful because there's only about one or two chapters left. Author has disappeared off the face of the earth :(

'We Reach Our Apogee Slowly' by kowaiyoukai is an amazingly written slow burn Kirk/Spock ST:XI fic and I will be FOREVER BITTER that the author will probably never update ever again. The author is still active, and as far as I know has not said anything regarding the "hiatus".

So many it would literally take me hours to search through my bookmarks and link them or list them all.

Just... trust me when I say they're easily hundreds.

there was this harry potter fic a while back that focused on the Malfoys, it started way before Harry was born and went through when Draco's parents were in school then when Draco was in school. I think the author had planned to go all the way to when Scorpius went to school. By the time I found it it had just over 100 chapters but for some reason the site took it down and as far as I know, the author never put it back up anywhere else. And with a title like Memento Mori, it's not like it's super distinctive to try and find it again. I really loved it because I'd never read a really Malfoy story and they became a lot more interesting to me.

She's probably never going to finish it and goes passive-aggressive on anyone who dares to ask about it, so yeah. It makes me really upset that it's stuck where it is and she won't even tell us what happens, if she can't finish it.

Dancing on Glass by Em Brunson. Epic Hurt/Comfort. Never finished. I could cry.

life as a bell by just giddy! this fic hasn't been updated in almost exactly six years...yet i'm still hoping for some closure.

An AU for the first half of Sailor Moon R that only had the epilogue left with some much needed answers. I though it was very interesting, but the only things I can remember are:

- Luna was unable to awaken Usagi so she went to Mamoru instead.
- As Tuxedo Mask he finished off monsters with a sword (that turned out to be the Cutie Moon Rod).
- The other senshi still joined up.
- There's was a Sailor Moon equivalent to Moonlight Knight.
- In the end it turns out Usagi's wish to be a normal girl was stronger than Mamoru's with somehow, can't remember the details.
- The last scene was Sailor Moon taking the moon rod and walking off from everyone else. I think the implication was that she was numb, and I worried she would just leave everyone behind.

"Home and Heart" in X/1999 fandom.

It's the closest I'll ever come to finding SeiSubKam fic, sob.

There are two Daria series that are kind of terminally unfinished that I absolutely love: Ranting Klown's "The Rest of My Damn Life" and Hash's untitled series involving new character Connor Jablonski. I have some links below.

WAY TOO MANY!

From the top of my head, Bird's Eye View and Eleventh Prince (both Code Geass fandom); Spotted!, a nicely written Fruits Basked fic, and Mirror of Maybe. I don't even think it's that good anymore, but I've waited for the next MoM update too long to give up now. A Merlin fic by syllic, which name escapes me atm.

This is why I don't post WIPs.

The Shoebox Project (even though for all intents and purposes it makes sense where it ended). I just always want more of that verse.

Kaleidoscope of Hours - an multi-AU FMA fic that stopped updating soon after it started getting interesting. I'm such a sucker for elaborate multiverses, and this one looked like it was going to be sooo good. Abandoned since 2010.

There's a Kaka/Iru m-preg somewhere out there, using the oiroke no jutsu, forgot the title. I usually don't like Kaka/Iru or m-preg, but this one worked wonders for me. Then Author dropped it.

Those are the four fics that have stayed with me no matter how many fandoms I enter. There are probably more too, but the fact that these fics haven't been updated in years is just... =(

'Strange Alliances' - LOTR/Silmarillion fandom. Hasn't been updated in six years. D:
'Redivivus' - Death Note. Hasn't been updated in two years, but the author's still around at least, so fingers crossed.
'Final Trinity' - Final Fantasy crossovers. Hasn't been updated in five years ; apparently, the author(s) have moved on to greener pastures. *stares longingly at the 200,00+ words I've devoured*

Those are all I can think of.

Ellen Brand's Personality Conflicts series. She was clearly building towards something in this epic Power Ranger AU, and then she appears to have just lost interest in PR in general.
