She's probably never going to finish it and goes passive-aggressive on anyone who dares to ask about it, so yeah. It makes me really upset that it's stuck where it is and she won't even tell us what happens, if she can't finish it.

Yeah okay, so it's not like she has reasons for not wanting to talk about it or anything, involving the massive levels of anon hate she got during the writing of it....

oh no, that's why it got abandoned?! i don't even remember how i found it to start with, but it was totally my gateway drug back into fandom last year. =[ i hope she's able to come back to it someday!

Except she does talk about it. She clearly has no problem talking about it. She talks passive-aggressively about how she WISHES she could finish it but she just CAN'T but she knows EVERYTHING that will happen and it sends her into panic attacks* to try to write it and basically does everything she can to make anyone who asks about it feel like shit for daring to question her even when they can't possibly have known about all that shit because it's deeper in her Tumblr archive than the Marianas Trench.

(* I don't want to say I don't believe she has panic attacks. But I really feel at this point like she's exaggerating the severity of the problem to make people feel bad and keep people from questioning her suddenly stopping writing the fic. It's just.. you know, she's changed what she's said about it several times and she uses the panic attacks as a weapon to cut down anyone who tries to question her sudden hiatus and whether or not she'll finish the fic, and I think that's really a shitty thing to do.)

I understand getting hate, and that's tough. I've got an anxiety disorder and have gotten a lot of hate in the past, and it can fuck you up. But you know what I'd do if I suddenly became paralyzed/crippled by anxiety every time I tried to continue a hugely popular fic series I'd promised I would finish?

I'd fucking tell people what was going to happen so they're not just left hanging, wondering, because the fucking thing is never going to be finished. And I wouldn't make them feel like shit for asking about it.

I really, really loved that fic, but it's just a few months shy of a year since the last update, and seeing so many people get told off and pissed on for daring to so much as ask if it'll ever be updated again has left me pretty pissed off and jaded.
