[ Anon Meme ]
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-30 02:45 am (UTC)(link)My friend-with-benefits (yes, they know about each other, and they're both okay with it; we're all poly) isn't big into fandom, but he reads Dresden Files message boards when he has time and will read fanfic if someone whose opinion he respects recommends it. We've taken him to a local literary SF/fantasy con, and he liked it, but not enough to want to go to one on his own - it's more a hanging-out-with-us thing.
The girl I occasionally flirt with introduced me to Harry Potter fandom, back in the long ago and far away. Alas, I only see her a few times a year, usually at cons, since she moved out of town for grad school. She's not as active in fandom as she used to be (see also: grad school) but she still occasionally writes and posts fic.
I have a hard time imagining having a relationship with someone who wasn't at least peripherally in fandom of some sort, even if they didn't do fic or art.
