[ Anon Meme ]

F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Re: Anyone else fucking hate woobies?

I'm okay with the concept, since I tend to get ridiculously attached to characters with ~Tragic~ back-stories and generally difficult lives, but the reality of it in fandom has left me pretty cold. For one thing, I find it really obnoxious to pretend that a person/character isn't responsible for his/her choices just because (s)he has been abused/been in a lot of bad situations/whatever. For another, half of the fandom-favourite woobies I run into really haven't had it any worse than the rest of the characters they share their stories with, and given that when you look at the difference between the fan-favourite woobie with his (it's almost always his, let's be honest) tragic, horrible, no good childhood and the (also mistreated) person he gets away with victimizing because of it, the woobie is often the whiter, maler one.
