They look like they could be the same man, just different wardrobe and posing. I'm confused.

The one on the left is Romain Duris. The one on the right, Garou, has a really deep voice, and they both have completely different attitudes. But true, it's not that obvious on photo.

They have the same colored hair and eyes. They also have a somewhat similar facial structure. They're different, but not overly so.

What is the best way to read these stories in English? I think they were all out of print in English for a long time.

Ah, but there's no actual print edition in English? I found a few on Amazon but most of them just have a random selection of stories. Maybe I should just brush up on my French.

I don't know if they're the exact copies of the French editions, but I looked up the French books and the print editions seem as messy in French as in English. That is: intended collection, random selections, short stories in one volume...etc.

Except Romain Duris is one of the best actors of his generation and Garou is only good at singing other people's songs... (but then, I think I'm really biased about this).

Maybe Garou fits better physically for you, but he's not an actor, and having him in a movie with this kind of cost would have been a train wreck: nobody would have taken it seriously and I think only his fangirls would have seen it.

But I never said anything about making a film with Garou instead of Duris, did I? The one with Duris was a disaster enough. Which doesn't really matter that much, because the secret is not about cinematography at all.
