Here's another day of two particular species getting featured that I haven't had the chance to before! Everything's a bug and most of them have wings on, but I'd hope that you might find at least a few of them cute. I'll be showing them at diffferent stages, too, since the baby ones look very different from adults.

I kinda know how this feels. I've gone "I LOOOOOVE sci-fi set in earth's future! It's so awesome!" But actually, the only sci-fi set in earth's future that I really love is Star Trek. I don't really love anything else. Well, there is Doctor Who, but that's different — it's not the actual setting of the show or anything, it's just one of the concepts they explore.

But maybe you felt that way because you still like the *idea* of comic book movies and would be interested in future ones, even though the only existing comic book movie you ever liked was The Dark Knight?

The BEAUTY CONTEST. Dude I remember I was always trying to enter that when I was like nine. I thought if I won I'd get Neo-rich and Neo-famous and my life would be made. Never happened.

Anyway, it sucks that it's still like that. And I agree that advertising and asking for votes being banned would be ideal, although I'm sure people would do it anyway and then there'd be inconsistent enforcement and drama because TNT is just like that.

Mm. I'm not really into fanart the way I am fanfic. I mean, I've seen some, and they're good, and I've seen some that sucked. I've read a shitton of fanfic, good bad and ugly, and there are fanfic sites and archives and personal journals and PDF downloads, and you can spend days reading some of the epic stories. But if I want to find art, I have to do a general Google or Tumblr search and hope for the best. And I look at a drawing for a minute and think, "Neat," before scrolling to the next one.

I don't think fanfic's really so unloved.

Agreed. I have scars from several different things and most of them are easily hidden. But I wish I didn't have to hide them. I wish I could have them out and be able to see them during the day, because just seeing them gives me strength and a boost. They're proof of what I've gone through and survived.

Something almost just like this happened with a fic I read in my fandom, but I doubt it's the same thing because that fandom hasn't really decresed in popularity.

Anyway, for one thing, I don't get why you're blaming social justice. What you described doesn't sound like it has anything to do with that, unless you left something out like you were using slurs in your fic or something. And what sounds like what happened is your fic got linked somewhere.
