Agreed. I have scars from several different things and most of them are easily hidden. But I wish I didn't have to hide them. I wish I could have them out and be able to see them during the day, because just seeing them gives me strength and a boost. They're proof of what I've gone through and survived.

Come to think of it, isn't this how children view their scars?

"I got this after a dog bit me."

"I got this one from a surgery."

"I got into a fight with so and so."

"I was hit by..."

Etc.

I think they have the right idea.
