They'd learned their lesson of letting lions get in charge ;)
As a child I loved this movie, but even then I always thought it was really weird the elephants let the lions reign over them.
I always considered them to be the rulers of African animals, since they were so big, strong, intelligent and usually lived longer than big cats.
I was an animal nerd when I was younger, haha!
