It's not entirely deserving of all the hate it gets.

Of course, I could just be biased because it came out the same year as The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Both of them are terrible sequels to movies I adore, but I'd take Kingdom of the Crystal Skull over Tomb of the Dragon Emperor any day.

Uh... anyway, I liked Indy and Marion getting married, and I didn't mind the aliens. What ruined it for me was Shia LaBeouf.

Really? I vastly prefer Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I think it still had sort of a Mummy-ish feel, whereas Kingdom of the Crystal Skull kinda just shat on my childhood.

But YMMV, of course.

A lot of it had to do with the new actors. I thought Maria Bello and the guy who played Alex (can't remember his name) were miscast.

Ugggh Alex, I wanted to punch him in the face the entire movie. I like the rest of it though as far as monster movies go, I just kind of ignore that it has anything to do with the other Mummy films.
