If they then said "I'm a straight male" and I said that I would expect them to not be so daft, that would also not be misogyny, again not stunting a woman's chances in career, life, social circles etc.

Sexism and prejudice against men exists.

Misandry is a form of discrimination no man on Earth has ever faced (unless he lives in a secret matriarchal society where cis-women have somehow declared that men are lesser than them and therefore are in control of their sexuality, right to vote or get certain jobs and of course question their intelligence or ability to think logically just because they don't have a vagina - and all of this is socially accepted and so ingrained that even many men think it is biological truth that men are just not as good as women).

Hey, Some people will jump all over a post for spelling errors and typos. I do try not to let my initial comments have too many bad ones if it can be avoided.

And no, I'm not. I'm an 18st cosplayer myself, I sympathize with OP. But I take issue at the insulting generalizations, the assumptions, and the idea that being a moron is expected and excusable if you're a male.
