This elegant spider belongs to the family Deinopidae. They're net casting spiders! Like many other spiders do, ones in this family use their nets as ways to trap prey. Unlike many other spiders, they don't just weave their webs and set it up; they weave smaller webs of two different types of fibers then use those as nets to catch prey. Here's a video of one of those in action, narrated by the esteemed Sir David Attenborough, and here are two more pictures of it, to get a better look at a very odd creature.
