Without knowing the story in question, or what the haters are hating on, it's difficult to say.

But imo humor is trickier to write than other genres, I think, precisely because it's more subjective than, say, romance or angst. ~ If you're really bothered, put a disclaimer/exclamation at both ends of the fic - because unfortunately, some readers miss the point unless it has Giant Yellow Sparkly Letters spelling everything out.

(And seriously: if you enjoy writing humor/parody - don't let poo-poo-heads ruin your fun.)
