One of the biggest problems with this absolutely fucking terrible show is that the women represented in it do not represent the way "all the women in the world" have sex or want to talk about sex. About the only group it might have managed that for is "wealthy straight able-bodied cis white women who are really really worried about what men think of them."

Even if I weren't a lesbian I don't think I would relate to these characters, and tbf I don't think most women do. I don't want to have the sex these women do but I'm not asexual.

And it doesn't even represent all "wealthy straight able-bodied cis white women who are really really worried about what men think of them" because I'm all of that minus wealthy and straight (still attracted to men, though) and I didn't relate to the women on this show at all. But maybe it's just because I don't like shoe shopping.

I mean, I am a cis white woman (working class though) and that show doesn't speak to my experience. I mean, it's in NYC for fuck's sake, that make a big difference right there because that's literally an entirely different culture from the one I was raised in.
