wrong fandoms

i rly hate all this 'you're hanging out in the wrong fandoms' shit people use as an excuse? like um i love x show, and x show has more fanartists and the fandom doesn't have as much fic or seem to like fic as much. i love this show, and i wanna be here. what am i supposed to do, go actively force myself into some new fandom where people like fic better?

why are people so incapable of acknowledging that for some fandoms, people are more likely to surf pixiv and save art or hell, my fandom? had a secret santa. for artists. not fic writers, it was strictly a "good artists" thing. some of my artists friends were invited, including both of my net bffs at the time.

why does everyone on these secrets always assume that these people must just be in the wrong fandoms? maybe you're just lucky enough to be in the right ones.
