Was she even dating Robert Patterson? I always got the impression that the tabloids were exploiting the rabid fans who couldn't tell the difference.

At any rate, I have to agree with the other comments - she's been humanised and shown to be capable of making mistakes. It's a lot easier to relate to that rather than Bella Swan or Snow White.

They were dating and lived together. I don't follow either of them, but from what I've gleaned over the past week it seems like over the past year they'd become more open about their relationship even though they have been dating for years.

Either way I feel bad for the dude's wife/kids and Patterson. I can't imagine either relationship will last long after that.

I honestly thought it was some publicity bullshit till all this went down. At least I hope the director wouldn't put his family through this for ratings, so I'd rather it have all been true then think the whole thing was constructed.

Honestly I still feel that way. Kinda convenient that the cheating thing came about as the last Twilight movie is coming out. I honestly thought this was just so that Rob and Kristen can get on with their lives once Breaking Dawn is out lol.

I still can't get over the idea that she's gay and he was her beard. I didn't even realize how strongly I believed it until this scandal.

I would understand if she was setting up an exit strategy from the relationship now that the Twilight films are ending, but why the hell do it with a married man?

I'm pretty sure her sexuality is up to her, as are her relationships. She slept with a married man because she wanted to. That's really all there is to it.
