(Anonymous) 2012-08-01 12:13 am (UTC)(link)TBH, how many 22 year olds have managed to maintain a four year relationship without cocking up some way or another? Admittedly hers was a rather large cock up, but still, she may deserve grief from her boyfriend, Sanders' family, and maybe any of her friends caught in the crossfire, but she really doesn't deserve hate and judgement from several thousand spectators.
I think the people finding themselves unexpectedly sympathetic with her are just imagining what it would be like if there had been this kind of media hype around the most dramatic mistakes they'd made. Clearly it would really suck.
