Re: Potentially TMI ~menstruation question
I use a diva cup brand, and it works fine for me. Depending on how heavy my flow is, I'd have to dump and rinse/wipe it every 8-12 hours. And that's probably the only time it can get messy tbh. If you ever use one, you will potentially understand the unbreakable string of period goo between your vagina and the contents of the cup (or toilet if you've already dumped it in there. So. Annoying.
Still, because you can keep it in longer than a tampon (12 hours, yo), I only really clean it when I take a shower in the morning (keep it in overnight), and a second shower in the evening (well, more like bottom shower since it'd be a waste of water to full-body shower twice a day). Any mess is dealt by the showerhead and the drain.
Also, seeing your period blood in a silicone cup with handy measuring markers is hilarious imo. And it works wonders for training you to be unsquicked by body fluids.
