I still have my first paperbacks of those, too! Chamber of Secrets is holding together okay, but Philosopher's Stone is literally split in half. ...For some reason, Order of the Phoenix (hardcover, though) is pretty busted-up too.

Yeah, I got the hardcover American edition of OotP the day after it came out and mine is completely busted up too. I think it's because it's so thick that the stress of the weight of the pages on the binding was too much. Also, I re-read it about fifty bajillion times.

Mine too! I have two copies of OOTP for this reason, but I can't bear to toss the busted up one.

Mine's the Australian(/British?) edition, but yeah, it's possible! HBP has some damage too, and that's the second-thickest.

And yes, the whole reading fifty bajillion times thing ;)
