It's the same that I'm doing right now. I think I need to go through my stuff at least twice to really sort out everything that I don't need to keep.

It was honestly quite difficult to go through things! What I suggest is to go through everything once, making two piles.

Stuff you know you can toss for sure, ie crap, things you've just 'picked up' over the years, etc, and stuff that you WANT to keep.

Wait a few days, a week, then go back to that WANT pile, look at it again and sort it into two, stuff that you can't imagine ever parting from, and stuff that you'd LIKE to keep, but you're not sure that you'd ever use again/or that you wouldn't really miss if it's gone.

It's often not easy to throw things away, you'll try and talk yourself into reasons why you should keep it, 'I might wear it again', 'I might use it again', 'it doesn't take up THAT much space'.

Sometimes a little time away and then coming back to things and looking at it again, helps. :)
