I do agree with you about Tumblr making it somewhat easier to stumble upon new people. I've seen accusations that Tumblr can be very skewed toward BNFs, and I can see that when it comes to things like number of followers and the amount of likes and reblogs people get. But I do like that when I search for a tag, I see stuff that everyone has posted. For me at least, it's harder to stick only with people who are familiar to me (subconsciously or otherwise).

Yeah. On LJ/DW you have to sort of seek out a comm for your fandom, if an active one exists, and there's always going to be some stragglers. Tumblr really is nice because everyone that's interested in your fandom has a CHANCE of seeing your work, so I really do like that part of it.
