i can relate. i'm in a rough situation at home and i have zero motivation for anything, especially job searching. i've been escaping into video games and comics. i've been out of work for getting close to a year and that's going to hurt my job-finding in the future, even in this economy, but i just... don't... care. and it bugs me that i don't care, but i have no idea how to make myself care.

it doesn't help that i live in a fucking podunk town with not a lot of opportunity afforded to my career path.

Yes, exactly. I've been in this situation for so long that I've lost my ability to care about it. I mean, I know it does actually bother me that I don't have a job. But I can't seem to care about it enough to change it.

Most of the time I feel like I am just waiting to die. I don't even have enough in me to be suicidal.

This seems just like my older brother. =( I want to ask him why he can't grow up and take some responsibility and help take care of the family but a big part of me is aware that he doesn't have an answer. It'll just be like, "*shrug*" and honestly, I can totally relate. That's how I feel about my own life except I actually have a job, and all I ever do is complain about it.
