I really did not like it. And I suppose that, yes, some of my gripes are with it straying way too far from the original in intent and message...but I just don't understand why it needed everything it did. Making the Once-ler a kind hearted guy who just got lead astray by his family? The random inclussion of a second 'villain' (O'Hare just seemed so...tacked on to me, IDK) and the ending...The Once-Ler and the Lorax were never friends. Why turn it into a buddy movie with a romance sub-plot?

~~And was it just me, or does young!Once-Ler look like a still-living Jack Skellington? Especially with that hand gesture during his "I'm bad" song, lol~~

Thanks for the opinion, anon! I loved the old cartoon as a child and was half-tempted to see this version.

Now I know that it would shatter my heart. D:
