I'm the same age as you, and have never had a job. For years I was too depressed to consider it, and couldn't leave the house without panicking - and by the time that got better, it felt like I'd missed the part of my life that was meant to be spent on education and qualifications. I'm finally in college now, but that means I won't be able to start job-hunting for another two years at least...and even then, I doubt I'll be able to gain employment. Mainly I'm staying in college because it's fun (and because of my mental health issues, I'm on a disability benefit which waives the course fees). It's a shame I can't make a career out of being a good student. I don't know if I'll ever be able to function like a normal adult.
