Clearly he's not aromantic... Eh...I'm not really sure why you say that? Iirc, it's basically put out there that he's interested in people [as a whole, not specifically for romantic reasons] because of their minds [for example, that's what interested him about Irene in the original stories: She outsmarted him, and Watson was/is pretty damn smart in his own right]. Nothing romantic there - and aromantics *can* have friendships, even if they don't feel romantic about people.

I'm not saying 'DON'T THINK HE'S ROMANTIC HE ISN'T!!!1!' - maybe he is, and honestly I don't care if that's how you see him. I just don't see why you say he can't be aromantic [and the way you said it, to me, seems to imply that aromantics can't even form friendships.]
