i've been avoiding the msscribe threads until i have a chance to read through the whole event, so this is the first time i've seen the link to "a rape in cyberspace", and i just wanted to say that it is absolutely fascinating. i'm definitely going to be mulling over the implications for the next few days, but i think the most striking thing is that even 17 years later, people still are still debating over how life online relates to life offline.

i wish that i had something as awesome to link back to you! the closest i can come is a review of the iron giant and melannen's excellent overview of polyamory in several different works of fiction; the comments there are well worth reading, and span from squeeing at the topic to more discussion on polyamory and gender in fiction and how those relate back to real life.
