Fye's my favorite chara of Tsubasa, and among my favorite charas EVER. And I freaking SQUEED to know he was a traitor all along :D I loved that, I thought it was PERFECT.

His backstory only made me love him a billion times more.. He's so fucked up, and I'm hoping he'll finally get over his past and move on.

>:/ And I want a true! smile from him, damnit.

13. Oh, don't tell me that the creator if Lain is racist, sexist, a bigot and/or hates his/her fans...! T___________T

I also agree with this secret; I find myself doing the same thing.

20. MOTTO MOTTO MOTTO MOTTO

I mean, I'll read it because I can't leave things unfinished (read the previous 6 books already), but I will refuse to buy it. Her writing is not worth the 30 dollars.

And the fans are really beginning to piss me off...!

20. I agree. I don't care about Harry Potter, but I'm glad other people enjoy it and are having fun reading the books.

Wigs.

I saw your icon and I just have to respond with my own.

I can't bring myself to watch the last season because of lack of Jeff.

Holy hell, did I post a secret in my sleep? I swear, someone is reading my mind O.o

Yes, Starscream icon, but Alan Rickman is still the hottest.

Then at the end of the last book she had married Peter and had 5 more babies with him. It was disturbing.

I wish so much that there was a fandom for Coupling. But at the same time I'm glad it doesn't exist because it would be so damn hard to keep the writing on par with the writing on the show.

15. If you don't like us, that's fine, though it seems like your wording carries an inordinate amount of hate towards us. "Wouldn't app here if it was the last RP on LJ"...? Seems kinda extreme, though I dunno, maybe we really are that bad in your eyes.

In regards to the squicked-outness: I understand that there's a lot of gory stuff going down, but I'm not sure what else you could be talking about when you say you're squicked by the RP. Do you mean experimentation and stuff like that, or the concept in its entirety, or something else? I'm honestly curious.

In regards to your opinion about the OOC characters: We work very hard to review every (usually long) application in detail, and though I know that we certainly aren't perfect and probably misjudge and screw up on a bunch of them, especially given how many apps we get, I hope that our effort counts for something when all is said and done.

In any case, the only thing that really bugs me about this secret is the "LOL in b4 wank" part. You're entitled to have your opinion, but it seems--especially with that added bit--that you're posting this solely because you want to see bitchiness from players who you see as automatically wank-prone and who you deem yourself better than, as if to reassure yourself that you're truly superior to this particular RP that you hold a grudge against, though maybe that's my personal bias speaking for me.

I hope I worded all of that in a sufficiently non-wanky way, as I certainly don't want your wank expectations fulfilled.

No no, it's okay ♥

I already know a lot of the other spoilers, sadly. D: And a lot of them come natural when you roleplay with people. Kind of sad XD Unavoidable though. I'm not, like, really mad at you, or anything. ♥

[identity profile] yami-chan.livejournal.com 2007-07-30 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, most creators are utter bastards. If you hated every creator 'cause of his or her personality, there wouldn't be much to read/watch/listen to.

13. orz I know! I saw Lain, got excited for a Lain secret, and now I'm almost nervous to find out which of those points fits ABe.

(Not the original anon you're responding to.)

(Anonymous) 2007-07-30 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
And if people want to play there, doesn't it follow that the RP itself has at least made itself look interesting enough in order to draw so much attention? I think the original anon meant that the RP was good enough to get 100 applications, not that the RP is good because they accepted 100 applications. And you're right, I don't think they did accept all of them anyway. XD

[identity profile] yami-chan.livejournal.com 2007-07-30 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
No matter how many times I hear that, it never stops being funny. Tent poles make you gay! What is wrong with that woman!?

6. WORD

13 explains!

(Anonymous) 2007-07-30 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm referencing the sorta "infamous" quote by Lain creators in their Animerica interview. (http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/2157/lainmag3smgq1.jpg) Of course, after numerous references to this interview, Ueda tries backpeddling and explains. Courtesy of wiki:

"Producer Ueda had to answer repeated queries about a statement made in an Animerica interview.[15][48][26] The controversial statement said Lain was "a sort of cultural war against American culture and the American sense of values we [Japan] adopted after World War II".[23] He later explained in numerous interviews that he created Lain with a set of values he took as distinctly Japanese; he hoped Americans would not understand the series as the Japanese would. This would lead to a "war of ideas" over the meaning of the anime, hopefully culminating in new communication between the two cultures. When he discovered that the American audience held the same views on the series as the Japanese, he was disappointed."

Don't get me wrong. I still love Lain and the fact that the series is a statement on the invasion of culture blew me away (in a good "wow, didn't see that coming" way). And I know Ueda isn't the only one working on the series. But now whenever I watch it I can't stop this nagging "This isn't meant for you" thoughts in the back of my mind, like I'll never truly understand it. XD Ahh I wish I didn't read it.

Another example of my secret though would be Tiny Tim. That funny high pitched guy that sings "Things that bother you never bother me. I feel happy and fine!" on SpongeBob Squarepants. I like that song. Then I read him up on wiki about his views on women which is basically "They should be seen and not heard and not speak unless a man speaks to them!" Yikes, Tiny Tim.
