It took me a while to figure it out, but then I frowned slightly. I think it's kind of cool, personally, but to each their own.

But the reason I'm really replying is because of the Anonymous that said they got over 100 applications. I lol'd.
Number of applications...means that people want to play there? How many of them got accepted? I don't know what point you were trying to prove, but number of applications =/= great roleplay.

I would prove that point with one in particular that I saw D: But then some people would hate me. ):

(Not the original anon you're responding to.)

And if people want to play there, doesn't it follow that the RP itself has at least made itself look interesting enough in order to draw so much attention? I think the original anon meant that the RP was good enough to get 100 applications, not that the RP is good because they accepted 100 applications. And you're right, I don't think they did accept all of them anyway. XD

As a player there, I can definitely say people aren't just waved in. Two of my friends (who are great writers) were both turned away because the mods felt their take on their characters wasn't really close enough to canon. (So, frankly, if there are a lot of OOC characters in the game, it's not because the mods gave them a free ticket in.)

My friends developed these characters over a long period of time and came up with a lot of great ideas for them, but I'll admit that does take them further from canon than most people are used to. Personally, I'm fond of those characters that way but I understand the mods' decision to turn them down.

And yeah - if the RP wasn't engaging and had a crappy player base, there wouldn't be such a demand to get in.

Also not the op

I think people are missing the point of the secret. maybe I am.

the secret OP doesn't like the game. it doesn't matter if they get 10 excellent applications or 100, the OP of the secret doesn't like the game and stated they wouldn't join.

it doesn't make them wrong for not liking the game. geez people. they won't join so stfu about it. it's not like one person not liking your precious fucking game is going to bring down the entire universe. it's just one person.

you game RPers are a bit too sensitive about your games.
