Meh, they sometimes annoy me, but I still like them...most of the time...

I can't stand Gibbs (and Tony). But I do love Abby - though I can totally see how she would annoy others.

I wish there was a spinoff with Abby, Ducky, and Ziva being awesome. Maybe Ziva could get her own team or just go on solo adventures with Ducky and Abby helping out back in the labs...or something.

If McGee and Palmer are there too I'm totally in!

I understand why people hate Abby, but why do you hate Gibbs?

The only main character I've hated on this show was Kate, and even that's faded (at least a little) because of my love for Sasha after watching Rizzoli and Isles.

I can't speak for OP, but I can say why I hate Gibbs. He's a stubborn ass. He's borderline abusive to his team, brainwashes them all to be completely devoted. He's pretty sexist and occasionally racist and it's portrayed as a gentlemanly Marine strong-man thing instead of the condescending asshat behavior it is.

Definitely can see the sexist but can you point me to the racist part? *curious*

I also hate Gibbs. I hate that he's always right and upheld as this heroic figure, despite the fact that he fucks up a lot and does shitty things and is generally horrible to people. I hate that he can never make mistakes and learn from then.

And I loathe how he's a sexist, borderline misogynistic pig and yet is scene as a good man regardless.

The only character I hate more than Gibbs is his mentor, Mike Franks. God, how I hate Mike Franks.

Eh, I like Abby - but Gibbs is just too...stiff, to me. -shrugs- Each to their own though.

That said, I think the lady who plays Abby looks *fab* - and I hope I look that good when I'm her age.

Every time I see her I can't help but think about how amazing it is that her actress is in her 40's and still looks in her late 20's/early 30's. Gah.

Not only does she look good but she totally still pulls off the goth style. It's really nice to see a character like that outside of a high school setting. Makes me feel not so freakish for preferring the same style in my 30s.

OK, so I've never seen like more than one or two episodes of this show so maybe I'm way off base here, but it always seems to me that it is VERY unbelievable that she would be allowed to dress like that at work. Like, REALLY, REALLY super UNBELIEVABLE. I mean- right? Or am I missing something?

The only thing that bugs me is when she has dangly chains or straps - because those would be a safety issue with the machinery she has around. The rest, I don't see why not.

She gets to dress like that because she's the best of the best (though she does dress differently for court). She also runs a lab on her own, because the last lab assistant they got tried to kill her.

It might not happen in real life, but I don't see why it shouldn't (unless she's wearing, say, dangly things that create a safety issue, like someone else mentioned.)

I don't know why that would be an issue when she doesn't have outside contact - say, with customers or so. And we see her dressing differently when she has to go to court. It's the same with the company I work for. All customer/outside contact happens via phone and email, so we have several full time goths here. And bikers, hippies, and so on. It's great. :)
