Does his prose get better? I picked up Game of Thrones because I love the TV show, read the prologue, and gave up because his prose was so bad. Does it stay at that level forever?

Nah, his writing is not for me. But I like the plot and I care for a few characters' fates (Arya, Imp, Daenerys, Varys)

Noooo. It doesn't. It stays how it is. I FINALLY finished book1 and I'm TRYING book 2 and I just can't, I can't. I cannot get involved in this world with this writing. It feels like a really boring assignment at school to read a really boring bible chapter over and over.

It's not changing and it frustrates me because I really wanted to get into this but the writing is so bad not to mention the treatment of the female characters creeps me the fuck out

Ramsay's hounds don't rape people, neither do Dothraki horses. There's a single line that hints at the possibility that Ramsay might have found it interesting to watch a bestiality, but it's really not described or talked about in any way.
