Have you tried asking them to thin it out? When I leave it natural I have Hermione hair too but if you ask them to thin it out with a thin razor it will take bulk out like whoa.

It's a standard part of my request every time I get a cut, but I'm starting to think that stylists are afraid to cut as much as they really need to, because it's so much hair and maybe they think I'll freak out if I think they've taken off too much.
