I'm not totally opposed to the idea of CCxOC but I've yet to see it done well. :/

But I usually only like OC's in "see the fictional world from the eyes of someone else" type stories where the focus isn't on the canon characters at all.

If you're in the Supernatural Fandom you should try some of Gedry's fic over on LJ. She has a really awesome OC called Elija :D

Do you have any interest in the Chrono Crusade anime? I thought this fic did a great job with having CCxOC as part of the main story, without it overtaking the focus and actually supporting the journey in question.
