Apart from the haircut, have you tried hair oil? I usually rub in it, leave in an hour or two before washing it. some women with really thick hair can just leave it in without washing. It really helps with mine - though I must admit I just gave up and flat iron it nowadays.

Also this is specifically for dark hair - if you have lighter hair you might want to try Jasmine or coconut hair oil. hope that helps. as for haircuts - I just wear mine down.

If I want it straight, I flat iron it. If I want it wavy, a braid it in for the night and have waves in the morning.
