I just hate the whole layering thing. I just liked the long 70-ties hippie hair.

(Of course, I wasn't around in the 70-ties)

Why are you writing the '70s that way? The way you write it it would be said as Seventyties?

Because my brain is a strange place.

Ah ha ha. In the seventies, we had lots of layers. Hippie hair was the sixties.
Seventies = Farah Fawcett. :)

My bad - though I still kind of liked her hair. Now it seems like they're almost thinning it out.

No worries. :) The seventies were pretty forgettable, hair-style wise, though Farah did look hot.

I'm not sure what you mean by thinning it out. Do you mean modern celebrity hair styles, or just...hair in general?

Both celebs and current fashion - it seems like they layer it in ways that it looks sort of less thick, especially at the bottom

This is sort of what I mean: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NlpS4dWu48I/TdFVZ8CDT5I/AAAAAAAALYk/Iu48GKqVWYs/s1600/girls_layered_hairstyle_ideas%25252Blong-hairstyle-2010.jpg

Ooh, okay. Yeah, i see what you mean. Nobody really has that 'ruler straight' across the bottom cut anymore.

It's a 'thing', i guess. Boys and girls my daughter's age (15) tend to both have this style. A kind of anime-thing, though they say 'scene'. I dunno *what* scene. Heh. Though my daughter said she's not a 'scene girl', even though her hair pretty much looks like that, cut-wise.

I don't really care that much as long as the hairdresser keeps those scissors away from me. I had it "layered" once and it took me 6 months to grow to a point where I thought it didn't look shit.

Never again...

I have a really odd relationship with fashion, anyway. I like nice clothes and stuff - I just don't think fashion always looks nice, heh.

A lot of fashion strikes me as performance art. Or 'wearable' art, but just because you can walk down a runway in it once doesn't really make it *wearable*, just worn.

I like fashion too, in a way, but i actually like clothing that people can wear, not just runway models, and clothing that doesn't require a trust fund to buy.

It's all very *interesting*, but i don't really see the point in stuff that looks like a Dr. Seuss book, or random bits of tin foil.

Seventy-ties?
