I am 26 and just got what I'm considering my first successful haircut, so you have my sincere sympathy.

When I got it cut I asked for it shoulder length, with lots of thinning but without layering at the bottom. I think he called it "definition at the ends" or something. lots of layers cannot be meant for bushy hair, it's just horrible, doesn't even straighten right, and I need the weight to keep it from frizzing up. I can't believe how many stylists have done that to me!

I have been combing "frizz-free" mousse in after washing (I use a moisturizing shampoo for dry/damaged hair and I swear to god it helps) and letting it air dry (after blow-drying my seriously demonic cowlick, which is a whole other story...)
