Women are generally more attractive with their hair down because it frames and adds to their face, when they're meant to look pretty the scene is going to have it down. Also, in each of the 'before' pictures, they're on the job--medical, professional, military or police. When they have it down they're in a relaxed, non-work setting...or have had the hair forcibly dropped because of...y'know, violence. Would you rather it the other way around?
