I agree. Doesn't mean we all like the pairing, but giving someone hell for liking a pairing seems silly imo. It's the ridiculousness of how it's presented that people laugh at.

I don't like those secrets at all. I feel like they're not only mocking and laughing at honest secret makers and odd pairings, but they're mocking the entire community. But apparently I'm a stick in the mud who doesn't like fun.

For me, this advice usually brings to mind "Shippers gonna ship, and haters gonna hate".

However, if you DO ship an unconventional pairing, you must AT THE VERY LEAST give as a reason to. Most of the Snape/Hermione and SanSan secrets are just words with no meaning. Tell us WHY, dammit! And maybe then we'll understand. of course, there will be assholes who think they have the last say...

Hey. I happen to ship the fuck out of Snape/Hermione myself, but damn, those manips are AWFUL and I am not/nor was I ever delusional into thinking that pair was EVER gonna happen.

I love it in fanfic. But so damn glad it had no chance what so ever in canon.

wait, what do you mean by Snape/Hermione secrets were troll? It's one of the best parings I saw in this fandom; of course, after book 7 they works only in AU or alternative-ending versions, and most of the fan fictions with this paring I adore were written after 5th and 6th book. Still, I don't see trolling here.
