Wow, those raccoon dogs sure are pretty! I'd never heard of them! They do look a lot like raccoons - I would have mistaken them! They look a little like foxes too (bodies/tails).

Maybe you've heard of them by the name "tanuki"? About as famous as kitsune, in Japanese folklore. Featured in Super Mario Bros and various anime.
